On Friday, Feb. 21, former Liberty High School standouts Alex Merchant and Nicholas Goff’s current college team, the Cal State East Bay Pioneers, won 7-3 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Sonoma State Seawolves.

The game took place at Seawolf Diamond. This was their first matchup against the Seawolves this season.

The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. at Seawolf Diamond against Sonoma State Seawolves.
