On Friday, Jan. 31, former Heritage High School standout Gio Martini’s current college team, the Cal State East Bay Pioneers, lost 5-4 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Montana State Billings Yellowjackets.

The game took place at Pioneer Baseball Field. This was their first matchup against the Yellowjackets this season.

The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. at Pioneer Baseball Field against Montana State Billings Yellowjackets.
