The Contra Costa County Public Works Department has announced plans to carry out maintenance and safety improvements on Vasco Road. The scheduled work includes debris removal, pothole and guardrail repairs, and the replacement of delineators along the stretch between Camino Diablo and the Alameda County Line. The project is set for January 6 to January 8, 2026, with work taking place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.
According to the department, efforts will be made to reduce disruption for commuters. Message boards will inform drivers about the roadwork, and a pilot car will guide vehicles through the affected area. Motorists should anticipate delays of up to 20-30 minutes and are advised to consider alternative routes during this period.
