The Contra Costa County Public Works Department is scheduled to conduct tree trimming along Marsh Creek Road on December 9, 2025. The work will occur from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, between the Clayton Palms Community at 16711 Marsh Creek Road and Deer Valley Road in unincorporated Brentwood and Clayton.
According to the department, this effort aims to lower fire risk and enhance public safety in the area. Traffic controls will be implemented during the operation, and motorists are advised that delays of up to ten minutes may occur.
The Contra Costa County Public Works Department manages over 650 miles of roads, nearly 80 miles of streams and channels, and more than 150 county buildings. The department also oversees parks, flood control efforts, road maintenance, storm water management, and operates two airports in Concord and Byron.
