Contra Costa Animal Services (CCAS) has announced its participation in the Champions for Pet Health weekend, scheduled for December 6 and 7. The event is a collaborative effort involving La Russa Rescue Champions, the Dave and Cheryl Duffield Foundation, Maddie’s Fund, the Bissell Pet Foundation, and eight other animal welfare organizations across the Bay Area.

The initiative aims to offer free trap-neuter-return (TNR) spay and neuter services for targeted cat colonies. In addition, pet health services will be provided to communities identified as having significant need and limited resources. According to CCAS, “Through this partnership we will be providing free TNR spay and neuter services for targeted colonies and providing pet health services to identified communities where the need is great and resources are limited.”
