A 32-year-old Antioch resident, Ryan Allen Fenton, has been charged with four felony counts related to the possession of child sexual abuse material, according to an announcement from the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office.
Fenton was arrested by Walnut Creek Police on November 25 after a warrant was issued in connection with a complaint originally filed by the District Attorney on February 3, 2025. The complaint was amended and refiled after investigators from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force uncovered additional evidence indicating that Fenton possessed child sexual abuse material.
Fenton appeared for arraignment at Superior Court in Martinez on November 26. He faces two felony counts for possessing over 600 images of child or youth pornography and two additional felony counts for possessing child or youth pornography. The offenses are alleged to have occurred on October 23, 2024, and November 25, 2025.
District Attorney Diana Becton stated: “The possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) is not a victimless crime; it is an act that perpetuates the sexual abuse of children and fuels a criminal enterprise. As District Attorney, my office treats the possession of CSAM with the utmost gravity, recognizing that every image and video represents an assault on a child.”
Fenton’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 9 at the A.F. Bray courthouse in Martinez. He remains in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility with bail set at $200,000.
